I normally hate when people say this but honestly a little of everything. Music to me comes in waves.
My "favorite" music is based around (defintely not limited to) classic rock (Zeppelin, The Who, The Beatles) but that's just the base. I'm really into technically skilled music, but at the same time I can also get into simple stuff.
For the past year or so I've really been into instrumental, ambient rockish stuff. A few bands:
Explosions in the Sky, Mogwai, The Merman, STS9, Isis.
I'm also gone into laps of mathcore, and punk:
Dillinger Escape Plan, Choking Victim, The Misfits
I'm also in the hippie jam band scene as well: :flamesuiton:
Grateful Dead, Phish, Greensky Bluegrass, Gov't Mule
I'm just going to limit it to that so we're not here all day.
