I was a real metalhead back in the day and so as with a lot of metalheads, I despised Punk because they were "such useless musicians".
But now all that is behind me, and I have to say it was Bad Brains that got me into punk. Although they are not strictly a punk band, I definitely felt that raw energy in them that is so characteristic of punk.
