As for bad things befalling members, I sometimes think about how many people who are members now *won't* be in 10 years time (assuming MB is still here) because they will have died. It's like when you look at the attrition among classmates in high school...every year, some disappear.

I always hope I'm not one of the ones who makes an abrupt and unexpected leave, but you never know.
