I joined the ****ing military, and I wouldn't steer you in that direction. But California is certainly different than Indiana in many ways, some things better, some things worse.
Like story said, Nor Cal is a lot better than So Cal IMO. Just because it's not as polluted and pretentious. Would actually prefer to live more north and inland, on the other side of the mountains. But I can't complain too much.
