It's been mentioned without much discussion earlier in the thread, but as a fan of
every other VU album besides this one, I have a hard time figuring out the appeal. Wait...scratch that; I have a hard time understanding how anyone could possibly find Nico's voice anything more than completely nauseating. She sounds like a girl trying to jokingly sing like a guy. Every other aspect of this album is solid.
Run, Run, Run,
I'm Waiting for the Man,
European Son, and
Heroin are all examples of VU in perfect form, but
Sunday Morning,
Femme Fatale,
All Tomorrow's Parties, and
I'll be your Mirror just ruin the entire exprience for me. I'll take
Loaded over
Andy Warhol any day.
