I remember arguing with some guys the other day who crapped on Adam Jones for using too many "nu meta" riffs.

Don't really hear it, unless all hard rocking downtuned riffs are nu metal ones.

Lateralus is my favorite of theirs, I certainly don't here anything nu metal-ish in there. Aenima? Maybe.
