As far as his other late albums (XO and Figure 8), I love them. I know certain people fell in love with his music because of its passion and simplicity, but I love being able to hear what he wanted his music to be with the full power of a professional studio. It came out brilliantly, if you ask me.

i know it wasn't finished and i would have loved to listen to the album like he envisioned it.. so i know it's not fair to judge it like the others.
but my point is that i just didn't understand the album and the direction he was heading when i first listened to it, but i feel like get it more now.
it guess i'm one of those certain people
what draws me to the early elliott smith material is that it's so simple and honest, but still so powerful.
