Unsane is one of those bands whose album covers always intrigued me. They first caught my eye in high school with
Total Destruction, the album cover posted above. I knew nothing about them and I remember wondering what the hell a band with that kind of album art would sound like. Well, about a year or two ago I finally got around to checking them out. I got their album
Occupational Hazard, and though at first I didn't listen to it very much, it has slowly become a favorite of mine when I'm in the mood for some loud, ass-kicking music. I've since got a hold of several more of their albums and have been happy to discover that all of them are really good. Anyone else a fan?
If you've never heard them, they're definitely worth checking out. Their style is kind of hard to describe: loud, distorted, kind of metal-ish, kind of noise rock-ish, a decent chunk of hardcore, a little dash of blues, but overall just really good.
