I tried that album a few months ago and I barely got through it, but the hipster kids seemed to love it.

Anyhow here's my latest catch:

Ringo Deathstarr - Ringo Deathstarr

Newish shoegaze band from Texas that have a funny band name. So far only a 5 track EP exists but it was pretty damn good, nothing mind shattering, but certainly better than some of the crap I've gotten over the last few days. Oh yeah, they also have a female bass player.

The Morning After Girls - Shadows Evolve

Yet another shoegazy/ psychedelic indie rocky pop band last.fm recommended me. Much like with Ringo Deathstarr it wasn't anything mind blowing, but it is a decent methadone to My Bloody Valentine's heroin.

Liars - Drum's Not Dead

So we go from a dirty dance punk band that recorded probably one of the best dance punk albums in the genre, to writing about witches and the blind ignorance of our culture, to this... I'm still not sure quite what to make of this record. It made great atmosphere for reading my book, but it just wasn't engaging. I kept it anyways and I think I'll just keep on moving up their discography till and make a final decision after I've heard their latest release.

Sunsplit - Sing For Sunday

This album will eventually warm up to me. I could definitely see myself going on a roadtrip sometime in the summer and blasting this album in the car, but it's just not doing anything for me right now. My mind isn't set towards summer, it's set towards... hell I don't know. I'm keeping it because I know I'll like it after a few more listens (like with Aeroplane over the Sea)
