99 francs by Frédéric Beigbeder. I'm sure I picked up on it from someone's post in this thread. First French novel ever for me. I've hardly read any French whatsoever since I was a kid, aside from occasional emails and such. I really should have a dictionary with me when I read this, as there are a good number of words I'm unfamiliar with, but many I can figure out from context and others I'm remembering the meaning of as I read. Overall I'm reading it faster than I thought I would, it's a relatively easy read. Plus I get to learn some of the lingo of my field in French, which is always helpful.
