^A couple of brilliant and impressive stories there

Well done on beating those guys!
I've found martial arts fascinating all my life, probably because I was spoonfed martial arts flicks when I was a kid, but I never trained myself. I'm not a violent person at all, but I'm sure it's something you get a lot of confidence from knowing and, well, a lot of other good things like physical training. My girlfriend actually has 5 years of training tae kwon do behind her, but I thought if I was ever train something myself, I'd like to train a style that focuses more on submission/wrestling/ground fighting. Almost every fight I've been in ended up on the ground so it just seems natural to build on that
The stuff you've trained has a fair bit of submission in it, doesn't it? How do you feel about it and have you ever used that in a real fight?
