"On a Sunny Day"- Pretty decent. Music could make or break this. If you go over the top with those kind of lyrics, you're going to have some serious fail on your hands. On the other hand, they're not bad enough that if you've got a catchy melody, you don't turn it into a pop song, and you take it seriously, you could have something pretty decent on your hands.
Also, I want to know more about that character. What is the cause of their fight?
It's also pretty much the same for "My Fighter". I'm starting to get a sense that these are in the wrong order- "My Fighter" seems like a set-up for "On a Sunny Day" because the events in "My Fighter could lead to the events in "On a Sunny Day". If you've got a shared musical motif in both of them, I think that would be really cool.
After reading "Can This Get Better", I thought that it really seems like it's "My Fighter"-"On a Sunny Day"-"Can this Get Better". It's a flawed relationship, to a breakup, to a failed second chance.
OMG... after reading "Back to Me" it's obvious... these really should be grouped together. They're just so similar. And they tell a pretty linear story.
That's... actually pretty cool.
What inspired you to write this? Did you recently have a breakup?
