Beginner's Guide to Live Band hip Hop



Live Band Hip Hop is essentially the fusion of rock instrumentation with hip hop production and vocal delivery. Many think of it as solely the horrid rap/rock that plagued the airwaves with bands like Limp Bizket and Linkin Park, but like with every other genre of music, behind the veneer of corporate mediocrity there lies a plethora of talent. Bands from all over the globe have been fusing different genres and turning them into a type of music that seems relevant to the youth. Hip Hop fused with funk, jazz, punk, indie, rock, etc. just seems to work so well with many of these bands. Many people are already familiar with The Roots and from them has exploded dozens of bands emulating their style and tweaking it to their own personal preferences. I've carefully taken specific songs from various artists and tried putting them in an order that just flows. With any luck this will inspire some of us to pick up an instrument and form a group, or at least pass this list on to someone else who may be more musically inclined.
