I saw
Trainspotting in the theater over here and it didn't have subtitles or dubbing. In fact I've never seen or heard of a British film that was released with subtitles in the US. I have however seen that ridiculous dubbed version of
Mad Max that you mentioned earlier. I actually find it semi-offensive that some jackass from the studio would think I'd have so much trouble understanding an Australian accent that I'd need a movie dubbed like that.
