a movie would totally desecrate that book. catcher in the rye has an almost holy and mysterious type of aura about it. a movie would cheapen it and it would become just another one of those books you have to read in high school for the next generation. i really feel like his wishes should be respected...but i know it won't happen.

we will have his unpublished works, his daily journal, and a doodle book he used to jot down in whilst on the phone. it just can't be stopped...
