I now have both Common Market's self-titled and Tobacco Road albums. Self-titled is a classic, while TR fell just a little short. I highly recommend at least self-titled if you're into Sweatshop Union, or any of the Blue Scholars stuff. Haven't been able to get into the new Blue Scholars **** myself- I'm not sure why... I think their self-titled set the bar too high for me- it's so smooth and clean, I don't know. But, I started looking into the Northwest hip-hop scene, and realized that a few Rhymesayers acts are based out of Seattle: the Boom Bap Project and Jake One. Might give them a listen to familiarize myself with that Washington stuff a little more...

You hope for blah
And sometimes you find it, but mostly it's blah
And waiting for blah
And hoping you were right about the blahs you made
And then, just when you think you've got the whole blah'd damn thing figured out
And you're surrounded by the ones you blah
Death shows up... anddd blah, blah, blah.
