Still didn't listen to the C&C album completely, but I'm listening to it right now, and I couldn't wait any longer to post my reply.
I think I understand now Sidewinder's reaction when I said I never heard of them. I'm quite surprised myself actually. The album started to click with me after the first 4 tracks. I, at first, felt it was pleasant to hear, but not more. After
Roses are Free, I felt there was a great potential in the album, it was the track that got me interested more in the band. Now listening to the songs that followed,
Baby Bitch, Mister would you please ..., Drifter in the Dark, Voodoo Lady, ... I could only notice how good this band is. It feels so genuinely from the 90s, but still has this 60s light-heartedness. I dug all the genres they attempted to insert in their songs, from funk, 60s psych to some light harmonies and pop. I very much feel that's one of the albums I'll be giving a lot of repeated listens.
