Yeah, I don't see the merit in comments like "The Clash sucks" without any kind of defense. The bald, honest truth is that Joe Strummer's artistic prowess outmatched that of Joey Ramone. I think that both are very desrving of whatever "countercultural" celebrity they've been awarded, but I truly believe that Joe Strummer was a far greater creative mind than any of the members of the Ramones. The Clash had versatility and vitality on their side, and Joe Strummer's social conscience definitely made itself present in the Clash's music. They get my vote without question, though I do acknowlege the importance of the Ramones.

Oh yeah, and "Nevermind the Bollocks" is quite possibly the greatest seminal punk album of all time.
