Now, now, dear elderly citizen, there is no reason to cause the lovely MB editor to star our your word choice. Personally, i think that if you are going to be prejudiced against piercings, earpiercings make just as little sense as any other kind, but that's just an opinion, they just happen to be more common and therefore "socially acceptable." Just because *I* happened to stab through my face prematurely doesn't mean that piercings are immature actions overall. and i *did not* expect any kind of massive revolution in my personallity, i wanted a revolution in my appearance, and i got it. I consider the months I had my piercing as one of the most dynamically transitional of my life, and the peircing had as much part to play in that as a lot of the other things i did. True, many kids do get peircings and tattoos before they are mature enough to make the decision intelligently, but that isn't limited to body art. >: (
