Putting aside that they are my favorite band, I really think they deserve a spot, because first of all, they were able to push away all the cheesy 80's music being released at the time and make something just plain amazing, also they're one of the few bands where everything they release is solid, and I know there are people who don't like them much on MB, but their influence aone should get them in.
On a personal note, they really show my experiance as an MB member. When I joined this forum I liked bands like Sum 41 and the like, and when I got Meat Is Murder, it changed my whole outlook on music, and now my taste is far more mature, and well...better.
I hope this is enough of a write-up, because they really deserve a spot.
