i get invitations to loads of shows at the metro because my father used to work there. over time I developed relationships with some of his coworkers due to mutual tastes in music, and so I retain a handful of sources to this day. i think that particular night there was a Blue Note 75th anniversary show happening downtown, so i opted for that instead.
