yeah, those were FLAC files i had and i figured out how to convert them, ironically enough using Winamp for the conversion.
so yeah, i originally converted my FLAC files, and when i did, they worked on the other media player, but the file size also increased by multiple times. so i ended up with songs that were 25-40 Megabytes when they were originally 4-6. not only was this a big waste of space for even a single song but my current mp3 player can only hold two gigs(sad i know). after a while of this crap i said **** Itunes/WMP and now i'm on the Winamp team.
so with Winamp i could play plenty of different files which i'm really glad about AND keep them their original and more managable sizes.
this is also why i'm glad i have an mp3 player that can play these different formats instead of an Ipod which i assume can't.
