In that case I like simple John better then the more knowledgeable others. I find most of Lennon's solo music more interesting than almost all Beatles music

Rubber Soul is easily my favorite Beatles album. It showcases them when they're just starting to get experimental but still a totally rocking pop band. It's truly the best of both worlds.
