Rezz's point was so simple that it's strange to think it would need an explanation. What he meant was that both David Bowie and Madonna were, in their day controversial, and they have both had long careers. Lady Gaga is not at all controversial compared to either Bowie or Madonna, and she certainly hasn't had a long career. Thus, she is not "the new David Bowie meets Madonna"
