That's kind of funny because I'm the exact opposite. I had to read
Crime and Punishment in my senior year of AP English and I pretty much hated it from start to finish, but I had read Gogol's short works years before that and found myself really enjoying it. Gogal and Sergei Lukyanenko are the only two Russian authors that I've found so far that don't put me to sleep.

I'm not sure how many times I've read this book now, there were a number of them when I'd just leave it in the bathroom and read a chapter every time I took a sh
it. I first picked this up when I was either 15 and have pretty much read it at least twice a year since then. Probably the book with the largest impact on my life, however I'm still debating if that's a good thing or not.
