Well, maybe one and thats Queen.
I cant STAND Queen. I always hated what i deem to be the OTT theatrics and the effect Mercury's voice has, for me, is equal to the way a great deal of people react to the sound of nails on a chalkboad. And im an Iron Maiden fan!
However my Queen knowledge comes exclusively from whichever of the numerous collection and compilation albums have been released which i couldn't avoid growing up and a lot of people who know my music taste at least to some degree have told me i should listen to some of their earlier material and then make my mind up. So fairs fair, anyone willing to offer me anything to check out that may alter my opinion?

Huge Maiden Fan here too! Up the Irons!
You do need to listen to queen more deeply. They are awesome and one of the deepest catalogues in Rock.
For someone like you who has a taste for the harder stuff I'd recommend these albums:
Queen II (although it is a bit dramatic)
Sheer Heart Attack
Songs to get you into them quickly:
Stone Cold Crazy
Sheer Heart Attack
It's Late
Tear it Up
