I mean, I say Pixies even though I like both of their music because I love the noise aspects of their music and the anxiety and unease that runs blatantly through their songs. I actually think I would say in a sense, The Pixies songs were much "poppier" - they were generally more upbeat on the surface... just listen to Debaser, that's more of a pop song than most of what I can think of from Nirvana (though I guess it depends what you think of as pop music, because the term encompasses such a huge array of sounds). The best part? I'll get to hear them play it tonight
