I just read the same thing on someone's Facebook status update, they phrased it exactly how you did - "a sad day for the intarwebz."

Anyway, I use What.Cd (https://ssl.what.cd/). It's the best for everything I could possibly need in torrents. I think you may possibly need an invite though and I don't have any left
