it was either as Caleb said, a satirical reaction to the behaviour of pop stars, pushed to the extreme (taking the step that every pop star alludes to but never follows through on). or. it was completely misguided idealism. acting like some chauvinistic **** doesn't create equality or command respect, it just makes you look like a butthole.
