I'm familiar with a few songs by all the above - except Alice in Chains - yet am not familiar with any of the individual songs.....wait actually, I know that Sublime song. It's good.
Anyways, here's mah liszt:
1. Captain Beefheart & the Mgic Bnd – Dachau Blues – great vocals and some fun, weird instrumentation which mixes nicely with the grim lyrics
2. Carpathian Forest – Third Attempt – black ‘n roll.
3. Assuck – Reversing Denial – good song, great band. Well worth the 50 seconds.
4. Onslaught – System – great song from an underated group…. metal influenced 80’s hardcore with a rhythm as unrelenting as a zerg rush.
5. The Pogues – Wild Cats of Kilkenny – a neat instrumental.
6. Casiotone for the Painfully Alone – Young Sheilds – some synth based, hipster music that I quite like
7. Corrosion of Conformity – College Town –yall liek COC?
8. Mercyful Fate – To One Far Away – ALL HAIL THE KING! A weird interlude, with some typically fantastic riffs and weird vocals.
9. Carnivore – Technophobia – a hardcore song about the awesomeness of Nuclear energy. While the Type-O-Negative relation may disturb some, Carnivore are quality… just not on this particular track.
10. Anal Thunder – Junk – a band that tries to do old school punk with a melodic and an overproduced edge. I got this album solely because it had "ANAL" in the band name.
