Your processor is fine, but you're running on the bare minimum RAM Vista needs in order to operate efficiently. I'd advise that you buy another 1GB stick (if your other stick is a single gig stick) so that your available RAM is at least 2 gigs.
Vista uses A LOT of RAM just to operate, so the free RAM available to any programs you're running is a lot more limited than an XP scenario.
