Hello karmapoliceman,
Welcome to MB! Do you find that playing drums in your band has reduced some of the time you spend listening to other groups' music, or conversely has it inspired you to listen to even more music than you used to before being part of the Impulse? I'm always curious how musicians balance their time spent playing with their time spent listening, given the limited number of hours in the day.
Another question! Do you find that liking especially indie rock and hip-hop has a huge impact on your band's repertoire...or do you try to create songs that span various genres or at least don't fall neatly within one? In other words, do you find yourself trying to mimic others or have you found your own type of music that feels unique to you and your bandmates?
Again, welcome to MusicBanter.
