Well, doing something with your talent is also a talent. I mean there are thousands of people out there who are incredibly good at playing guitar, likely as good as the many famous virtuosos, but a lot of them never do anything interesting with that skill. If you have no interest in the wankery itself, why then listen to them?
You have to create something that people like and preferably something that makes you stand out from the crowd.
