Does anyone know of any blues artists that do minimal type stuff, just a guitar and vocals, in the style and feel of Samuel L. Jackson's recorded stuff in Black Snake Moan?

I always hunt around for dirty Alabama type blues but the stuff I come across is usually full accompaniment and too polished.
Any suggestions are appreciated.
