I think that song Stand By Me came out around the 50s or 60s...that's one of my all time favorite songs So sweet!
I always wondered what type of music was happened between that time. I know they had swing type music in the 20s but the 30s and 40s always seem like a blur then it just jumps to rockabilly in the 50s.

I have some random tracks from Gene Vincent, Dale Hawkins, Roy Orbison and Eddie Cochran. There were downloaded for a show I put together that focused on songs from different decades.
