I'm going to tell you what i told someone who said that "The Poison" was one of the best albums of the decade, and upon disagreeing with that statement, him asking me how i could say otherwise:

while i do like some of BFMV's music, The Poison is nowhere near one of the best albums this past decade. not saying that they're a bad band, they aren't, just that a majority of their music i've heard has the same old verse-chorus-verse-solo-chorus structure and style that's basically uninspired and dull compared to a multitude of other bands. they're good at what they do, but if they can make an album where they actually go outside of their comfort zone and actually try to take risks and create something original, then i'll consider it.
