That's a great album, when smart people can disagree about the best songs on it.

Also, my favorite Dylan album is Bringing it All Back Home for sure.
Bringing it All Back Home will always be one of my favorites. It's got everything one might ask of Dylan. It's got a lighthearted playfulness ("Bob Dylan's 115th Dream") and a great heaviness to it. And I think it is quite possibly the best album to come out of Dylan's so-called "Electric Period", next to "Blonde on Blonde" of course. But I'm constantly reminding myself that Dylan is a consumate storyteller, and I feel like, with a few exceptions, "Desire" is an album that demonstrates this better than some of the preceeding albums. Similarly, "John Wesley Harding" exhibits this trait but with more explicit absurdity and mysteriousness.

But I do enjoy "Bringing it all back Home" and I listen to it often. It's always been hard to determine the greatest album to come out of that era. "Highway 61 Revisited" is such a great album too.
