I have a Phenom II X2 550 @4.2ghz
Coolmaster Elite 330 Case
Western Digital Caviar 640gb HDD
GIGABYTE GA-MA790X-UD4P AM3/AM2+/AM2 AMD 790X ATX AMD Motherboard (pretty good overclocker)
Corsair 750 watt ATX Power Supply (60 amps !!!! on the 12volt rail)
Zalmaan 9500 92mm Cpu Cooler
Sata Samsung 22X Dvd Burner
4gb 1066mhz G-Skill DDR 2 Ram
And to top it all off a beefy gtx 275
This comp only cost me 1200CAD which is probably around 1000-1100 USD
Definitely worth working this summer.

I built the beast myself and runs games like crysis or Cod5 max at 1920X1200 (thats higher than 1080p) without max AA. I can play left 4 dead at over 100 fps near max.
