I was just recently reminded of this, it's more shameful than embarrassing but it does show how unrefined my perception is. About this time last year I went out on a date with a girl through an Internet dating site (that's not the embarrassing part) and we hit it off really well, but when it came to me walking her home and I went to grab her hand I realized it was deformed. Me being the complete fucking idiot and asshole that attempted to use humor to might light of the situation and immediately reeled back in horror looking at my own hands saying "oh my god what did I do?!?!?". She did not appreciate my humor and gave me the dirtiest look I've ever received from a woman before. She insisted that she walk home alone and never returned my calls, which was a shame because she was a really cool girl.
