Third World War was a band formed in 1970. Fed up with the hippie movement, Producer John Fenton and songwriters Terry Stamp and Jim Avery assembled a rag-tag group of studio musicians with the intent to create "a no-bull****, working class band." The self-titled release in 1971 came without the band having ever played a live gig. The album was not a commercial success. The 1972 follow up, Third World War II was dropped from Fly Records over a disagreement about it's track "Coshing Old Lady Blues" and was released under Track Records. The album was finished and the band broke-up.
