Inflation isn't even a factor. Chucks prices have shot up due to demand as a result of trend whores. It's not an assumption, it's a fact.

Well, they're still miles cheaper than other shoes here and I think that appeals to people. I don't really have a problem with the quality of the shoe. I like them. Plus there's hardly any sneaker-type shoes that don't look lame on girls. But I can see what you're saying... how they've brought out all of these 'special edition' chucks with lame, novel patterns and sh
it on them. Anyway, I'm not going to reject something I like just because it's trendy. These days pretty much everything is commodified anyway.
