On that note of metal, if you're still looking for more recommendations I thought you may like Katatonia. They're a Swedish Death/Doom band, I would offer to upload you an album but I'm busy uploading my Gothic Country collection for a massive project. "Viva Emptiness" is my favorite album from them and you've proven yourself pretty resourceful for finding music on your own.
