The Wings looked so unwing-like the last two games. All the credit goes to Pittsburgh for outplaying them. Whoever wins game 5 wins the series in my opinion. No way Wings win game six in Pittsburgh down 3-2 and no way Pens win game 7 in Detroit.

i think Zetterberg is on top of his game, if anyone's been troubled it's been Hossa, held without a goal and a mere fluke point in game 2. Franzen looks great right now, and the Detroit defense is certainly supporting like it should (especially Brad Stuart, who's played phenomenal). Kronwall could be a weak link in taking crap penalties this series but even he's played well as an enforcer.
and although i think it's going to seven games, i wouldn't call it a win for Detroit by any measure. for one, neither of those situations happened to us earlier this postseason against Washington (a 2 seed), when we went L-L-W-W-W-L-W.
the games this series have been tight, but none of them have gone to OT and none of them have stuck out as a piss-poor performance for either team. i suppose you could make the argument that tonight was a bit of a letdown in the second for Detroit, but they still managed to outshoot the Penguins and they had some fantastic power play opportunities.
as i've said before, i think both teams are very evenly matched, i give credit to Detroit for having the discipline and experience to make it this far (the fifth time in a decade, ffs), but it's all down to who has the better game in the following three. i don't know if i'll be celebrating or mourning, but so far the Penguins have looked damn good and a f
uck of a lot better than last year.
