I completely agree with what you said about recording. I've been to too many shows and have been devastated because the band sounds nothing like they do on record. Though it has mostly to do with the band, I think a lot of people fail to recognize it as the music engineer's work, too. Then there are bands you just expect to sound ****in' lo-fi and ****ty and I love those shows, too. They're always equipped with way too many intoxicated people, floors blanketed in beer, and a constantly moving crowd in a space too small for that many people. Ah, home.

We played with a really awesome metal band last night. They were really nice dudes too, fun to hang out with.
Haha, intoxication/inebriation with a large crowd in a small house is totally a recipe for a good house show. I like drunk people, they're entertaining.
