I haven't heard Icky Thump, it's the only Stripes album I don't have.
But I don't think it's really possible for me to prefer any Stripes album to a Radiohead album, Pablo Honey excluded.
Hail to the Thief is hella underrated and IMO the real best album of 2003, not Elephant. That same year you also had De-Loused, Absolution and King Crimson's Power to Believe, which IMO are on par with Elephant at least. So yeah, Elephant got the most hype that year, and it's a great album. But it didn't sweep everything else away that year like the media makes out.
When it comes to which band will still be making fresh and innovative music 30 years from now, I'm placing my bets on Radiohead.
