Contemporary classical, so I would chuck him in the classical section... Even with electronics spread about, I guess it depends on what album you listen to though...
I find most of his stuff average in comparison to Le Livre Noir Du Capitalisme...
But thats one of my favourite albums of all time 
Can't think of a better modern duo than Yann Tiersen and Chauveau (Only similarities being that they are French...)
