early (and recent album) Brian Jonestown massacre I know about, and I guess early Apples in Stereo were a bit more noise-based?
I love the way the whole multi-layered feedback distortion stuff was briefly a sort of nu-psychedelia movement of it's own...

edit: ofcourse it all goes back to sonic youth but you know what i mean...
I saw My Bloody Valentine at The Electric Picnic Festival in Ireland, and again in Manchetser last year.
It was amazing, prepare for a great gig.

Also prepare for about 25 minutes of intense distortion at the end! A lot of people in the crowd at both gigs didn't like it, I think some peoples ears were starting to bleed!
