Yeah, if you're interested in the whole story of the beginnings of the Norwegian Black Metal scene in regards to bands like Bathory, Burzum and Mayhem, the first couple parts of the book deal directly with that, but then I kind of had to push myself through the following parts which delve more into the influence that someone like Varg Vikernes exhibits on the hangers-on of the scene, and then all the ****ed-up **** that kids got themselves into just trying to be evil and **** like that. And then it explains the correlations between the Black Metal scene and Satanism and later, National Socialism. Also, it explains a lot of why it started in Norway and not somewhere else, regarding a lot of pre-Christian Germanic and Nordic tribal traditions.

Sorry, not trying to explain the whole book to you. But there is a lot of interesting info in it to anyone with a general intrigue regarding that scene of music.

Yeah, I'd recommend it.
