As for men not knowing how to be men anymore - I'll have to disagree in that we (male or female) change, and as much as it's hard to see, we've evolved a great deal from what we used to be. In general, humans don't know how to be humans. This, I think, leads to questions such as what is a human supposed to act like? Aren't we animals, too? Being able to communicate with each other in advanced and technological ways surely separates from, say, bears, but why does that give (some of) us reason to treat them poorly? I'm sorry I got carried away from the book topic AND men. To me, I think a lot of men are getting to be more emotionally and intelligently connected with not only each other and themselves, but women, too. Yeah, I'd agree that these types of men are hard to come by, but they're out there and if you're looking too hard, you probably won't find one.

i understand what you are sayin,......however,....i feel like everything in life must have a balance,....through the blurring of gender roles, the balance has been thrown off kilter
