I don't know about more work. See, if you do 4-5 hours a day on a packet you'll finish about half of one, do that five times a week- and if you started freshman year the same days as someone in high school, you'd be done half as fast. But the thing is that it's four to five hours of sitting down and working, not like goofing off in a classroom.
I actually have never done well in school at all, my biggest problem was sitting down and doing homework. I had such bad grades, in fact, the school system during 7th and 8th grade actually put me in easy bad-kid classes, and then in full on special-ed "emotionally disturbed classes". Took me almost a year to fight argue my way out of those, which gave me a disrespect for the money-driven school system and some aspects of society. Actually, used to be such a shock to my ego I would have slit throats to keep it a secret, but whatever. I don't give a fukk anymore. Getting to the point, after Rehab I went into this stuff instead of normal school because (aside from thinking the school system is ridiculously amoral and ineffective) it was all homework, which I seriously needed to learn how to do.
Most likely I just feel overworked because doing schoolwork and self-discipline in general is new to me, but also it does seem more condensed then a classroom. Also why I have a hard time not being so polar, probably remnants of an my old habits of perfectionism.
